Spring has sprung and allergies are in full swing...

How do you manage your allergies?
Often times people use allergy medications for years on end and when one medication doesn't work to their satisfaction they jump to the next. Side effects of these medications are no fun though! They can make you feel sleepy or drowsy and some can impact your risk for Alzheimer's down the road.
WAIT! WHAT?
That's a pretty hefty side effect! Yep and most people don't even know about it. So what medication is this? Well its a list of them actually such as Claritin and Benadryl along with other medications that fall outside of the anti-histamine category.
What's the alternative? Glad you asked.
Fortunately there are a lot of natural things you can use to help with you allergies. Herbs that help stabilize your mast cells (cells that dump histamine), vitamins and minerals.
There are also other types of therapies that can help decrease your allergy load such as using a Neti Pot or Nasopure to help wash the sinus cavity.
We can also look at foods in your diet that may be adding to your allergic load and making your symptoms look worse than they are!
If you're tired of allergy medications that just don't seem to cut it and may potentially be posing more harm than good, make a change! Call me and let me know how I can help!
Wishing you the best!
