Aside from shape, you can learn a lot more about your digestive tract!
Food in your poo.
Undigested food or a "food flashback", whatever you want to call it. Poo should look like poo and not like a meal you recently ate.
Perhaps you see corn- ignore, everyone has corn poopies after they eat corn!
Perhaps you see bits of your salad- maybe your stomach acid isn't up to snuff and the initiation of break down isn't going well. Gut bacteria also plays a large role in veggie break down so maybe they need a boost!

Strands of protein- well, this could be a few things. Stomach acid may not be in sufficient amounts or perhaps its a protease issue. Protease is secreted by the pancreas and activated in the small intestine.
Rice or potatoes- the pancreas also secretes amylase which is responsible for breaking down starches into sugars.

Fat- this is often difficult to identify and it may look like mucus for example. Lipase and bile are usually the slackers here when we don't break down our fats well.
